With fiscal year 2019 wrapped up, we are pleased to share our annual report and what we’ve been up to this past year with the public.

We were thrilled to see that UNleashCB.com saw a 102 percent increase in website visits, up to 120,292 from 59,421 in fiscal year 2018. Individual visitors to the website also increased, up 83 percent this fiscal year to 90,059.

Website updates in fiscal year 2019 are in part to thank for the increase in our website traffic with additions of weekly blog posts (80 total last year) and 36 360-degree images added to website listings for attractions and venues.

The increase in traffic has resulted in a well-rounded online community calendar of public events occurring throughout Pottawattamie County. In fiscal year 2019, our online calendar had 1,205 events added to it — up from 675 events the year before. Events are submitted by local individuals and businesses.

In efforts to continue to attract visitors and events to town, our director of sales, Alicia Frieze, reached out to 195 prospects looking for cities to host their event or groups coming to the metro looking for accommodations — an 86 percent increase from fiscal year 2018. And this year, we brought 19 meetings and conventions to town along with 16 sporting events.

Fiscal year 2019 also saw us move into our new office space and work with the Council Bluffs RAGBRAI committee on the event’s website and social media pages.

It’s been a great year and we cannot wait to see what’s in store this next one!
