Mark your calendars! This Friday and Saturday, October 2-3, 2020, US Cellular is hosting a free drive-in movie in the Mid-America Center parking lot. Both evenings, the popular family movie Shrek will be playing starting at 7 p.m.
“As many community events and activities have been postponed or canceled this year, we wanted to provide a safe experience for people to leave their homes and have fun outdoors – at no cost to them.” Said Mike Adams, US Cellular director of sales for Iowa and Nebraska.
Each evening, 175 vehicles will be able to attend the event. They are asking that you register online before the event. Anyone who is 18 years or older can register for a parking pass. Only one person in each vehicle needs to register for the pass. The passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis so register today!
There will be space in your designated parking spot to set up chairs and blankets and it is asked that you stay in your spot for the duration of the event. Please be sure to bring an FM radio if you plan to sit outside of your vehicle. Visit the Movie Under the Star’s website for more information and tips!
As an added bonus, US Cellular is providing each registered vehicle with complimentary movie snacks! There will be no on-site food vendors so feel free to bring your own snacks. No grilling is allowed at the event.
