Share Your Ideas for Four-Season Recreation Activities at Mt. Crescent Ski Area

Pottawattamie County Conservation is hosting two open house events on Friday, October 6th, and Saturday, October 7thwhere the public is invited to learn more about four-season development opportunities at Mt. Crescent Ski Area and share their ideas.

Each open house will explore what types of developments are possible on the 106-acre site and gather feedback and ideas on which recreation activities the public is most interested in as Pottawattamie County Conservation looks to finalize its master plan for the area.

The public can choose to attend one of two open house events to learn more:

Families are welcome, and complimentary drinks and snacks will be provided at each event.

The open house at Mt. Crescent Ski Area will also include smores, bonfires, and guided hikes.

Input collected will be used to inform Pottawattamie County Conservation’s decision-making process for Mt. Crescent Ski Area development plans over the next several years.

Later in October, an ArcGIS StoryMap website with details about the development process will be made available to the public and updated as plans progress.

For those unable to attend in person, an online opportunity to share feedback will be provided once the events conclude. An additional opportunity to share feedback and learn more will be provided at Arrowhead Park on Saturday, October 14th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the park’s annual freewill donation Chili Fest.

Pottawattamie County Conservation is hosting these open house events in coordination with SE Group.

Hope to see you there!
