We are all in need of seeing friendly faces and smiles during these difficult times of social distancing. One thing is for sure, teachers are missing their students, and the students are missing their teachers.  On Thursday, April 2, Lewis Central Community School District teachers followed school buses and paraded through neighborhoods to say hello to the students and families that they miss so much.

It was a cold afternoon but that didn’t stop teachers, students, and their families from participating in this wholesome event. Each neighborhood had students with homemade signs and bright smiles eagerly waiting to see their teachers. The sounds of honks and warm hellos warmed the hearts of everyone involved. The students and teachers alike cannot wait for things to return to normal and to see each other in the halls at school again.
