We are so pleased to announce the winner of the first UNleashCB winter photo contest with you! Jeff Anderson, or jeff.anderson940 on Instagram, took the winning photo. The photo is a drone shot of Arrowhead Park in Neola, Iowa. The vivid sunset combined with the fresh layer of snow makes this a stunning and peaceful winter scene.
If you aren't familiar with Arrowhead Park, it is a Pottawattamie Conservation park that is situated on a 17-acre lake and offers camping, boating, fishing, and numerous other activities year-round. Recently, due to a Loess Hills Missouri River Region CabInitiative, Arrowhead Park was able to build three fully-furnished modern cabins with tons of great amenities! You can even spot them in Jeff's photo (bottom of the photo near the center) The cabins are now open and accepting reservations.
On Monday, we will be announcing and releasing the top five runner-up images. We will post a blog on our social media channels with a link for our followers to choose their favorite photo! The 'people's choice' winner will receive a gift card to a local restaurant for a delicious carryout meal.
Thank you again to everyone who submitted images and participated in the contest. It has been a cold winter, but that didn't stop people from getting outside to enjoy the natural beauty of our county. We hope that you had as much fun as we did!
