Recently, the Council Bluffs Convention & Visitors Bureau opened a Visitors Center inside its new facility at 509 23rd Ave in Council Bluffs. Our hope is for people visiting to have a convenient and reliable place right off of the interstate where they can easily access resources about the best places in town to visit, eat, and play!

The Council Bluffs CVB is currently looking for volunteers to work in our new visitor center. We are looking for people that love Council Bluffs and want to tell people about it! Volunteers will greet visitors in person, and over the phone to provide them with information to ensure that they have the best time possible while visiting Council Bluffs. Along with the great information that volunteers can provide visitors with, the visitor center is full of great resources to hand out.

Resources Available in the Visitor Center:

Once fully operational, the visitors center will be open 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on weekdays and volunteers will work 3, 4-hour shifts a month. In the springtime, there will be more weekend shift opportunities available. This volunteering opportunity is a great way to get involved in your community and to learn more about Council Bluffs and the surrounding areas. Experience in the tourism industry, public speaking skills, and gaining volunteer hours are also great benefits of this opportunity.
