Youth Wrestlers Dual It out at the Mid-America Center

This blog contains information about an event that has already passed. Please visit our calendar for a list of upcoming events happening in Council Bluffs and Pottawattamie County!

Heartland USA Elementary, Middle School & Girls National Folk Style Duals are back at the Mid-America Center April 14 through April 16. Brought to you by Nebraska USA Wrestling, this annual event has been hosted in Council Bluffs for the past several years.

The wrestling tournament is expecting over 80 teams to compete this year, making it the country's largest kids' national dual tournament. Participants must qualify by being the best in their weight class and division through their state tournaments, so this event will feature the fiercest competitors in the area!

There will be awards for the top eight teams in the Gold Championship pool, then eight for the top eight teams in the silver, bronze, and other additional pools. All wrestlers will receive an event medal based on their team's place in the tournament. Any wrestler that goes undefeated will be acknowledged as All Americans. MVP and team sportsmanship awards will be given out, too.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $14 for students per day. Children that are not in school yet are free to attend the event. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Visit our events page for more information!
