    Live Music by White Catfish

7:00 to 11:00PM | Apple Jacks at the Patch
    21534 Chestnut Road, Council Bluffs,
White Catfish met along the banks of the Missouri River in Council Bluffs, Iowa. History reminds us that in 1804, Lewis & Clark made a similar nearby stop and named their camp White Catfish, inspired by a fellow explorer who caught a rare albino catfish.

These six explorers of music include Dave Bergman (harmonica, vocals, guitar, banjo, melodeon), Sean Dunphy (guitar, vocals, banjo), Brett Ford (rhythm guitar, vocals), Quinn Damgaard (banjo, vocals), Charlie Schilling (drums) and Paul Hart (base). Their music is influenced by all things Americana with roots in folk, rock, country, bluegrass, and blues.

Come jam with White Catfish and get a taste of how they like to shine.

    Live Music at Ditmars Orchard

    1:00 to 3:00PM | Ditmars Orchard & Vineyard
    19475 225th Street, Council Bluffs,
Join us for music by Kid Nebraska!

Bio: The band formed in the fall of 2017. Even though Josh Kidney was already busy playing guitar for Dylan Bloom, he wanted an outlet for the songs he’d been writing over the years. On a whim, he messaged Travis Muzney, a drummer who’d filled in for Dylan on several occasions. Travis jumped at the chance to start a band and brought along Jon Packard on bass. All that was left to round out the sound was a second guitarist. That’s when Josh called his longtime friend and guitar mentor Todd Laird. Once the four-piece was established, the band started practicing and booking. Their first single “Go” was produced and recorded by Matty Sanders at Fuse Studios and will be released on August 14. In October, the band will return to the studio to finish up their debut EP.

    This Wonderful Life

7:30PM | The Arts Center at Iowa Western
    2700 College Rd., Council Bluffs,
"This Wonderful Life" is a one-man play, beautifully acted by Jeremy Kendall. Based on the iconic 1946 holiday favorite film, "It’s a Wonderful Life," the production brings to life over 32 familiar people in an amazing display of physical and verbal virtuosity.

Kendall portrays the Jimmy Stewart-inspired George Bailey, and the whole cast of lovable characters from Bedford Falls including Clarence the Angel, Mary, Zuzu and all the townsfolk who rely on him to save them from the greedy Mr. Potter. Like the film, the play centers around the character of George, a man who has given up his dreams in order to help others, and whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence. Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched and how different life in his community of Bedford Falls would be had he never been born. Jeremy’s 75-minute tour-de-force is at once inspiring, funny, poignant and most of all, uplifting.
