White Catfish met along the banks of the Missouri River in Council Bluffs, Iowa. History reminds us that in 1804, Lewis & Clark made a similar nearby stop and named their camp White Catfish, inspired by a fellow explorer who caught a rare albino catfish.

These six explorers of music include Dave Bergman (harmonica, vocals, guitar, banjo, melodeon), Sean Dunphy (guitar, vocals, banjo), Brett Ford (rhythm guitar, vocals), Quinn Damgaard (banjo, vocals), Charlie Schilling (drums) and Paul Hart (base). Their music is influenced by all things Americana with roots in folk, rock, country, bluegrass, and blues.

Iowa West Foundation Trailhead Park, Council Bluffs,
The Taco Ride takes place every Thursday evening on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail, from Council Bluffs, Iowa to Mineola, Iowa and back. The scenic ride is about 20 miles through the Loess Hills and ends with dinner at Tobey Jack's Mineola Steakhouse.

The weekly rides take place from when the trail is dry enough in the spring (usually in April or May) until late in the fall (usually until Halloween). Most riders start at Iowa West Foundation Trailhead Park where parking is available.

Slightly more than halfway between the trailhead and Tobey Jack's, many riders will stop at a picnic area, nicknamed Margaritaville, for a quick break and to join in a conversation with fellow bikers or to partake in refreshments they brought with them.

Note: The Taco Ride is a weekly event. It runs every Thursday evening during most of the year, weather permitting. Visit the Taco Ride website, linked below, for event news.

    The Good Humor Men

7:30PM | Arts Center at Iowa Western
    2700 College Rd., Council Bluffs,
Sit back and get ready for a night of comic relief. Three of America’s funniest stand-up comedians (with numerous appearances on "The Tonight Show," "The Late Show," and "The Daily Show") join forces to showcase their original brand of humor in an evening packed with punch lines, clever writing, and hair-trigger laughs.

We welcome back Omaha native Pat Hazell who was one of the original writers for NBC’s "Seinfeld," a veteran of "The Tonight Show," a critically acclaimed playwright, and a contributing commentator to National Public Radio. Tony Deyo is a stand-up comedian known most notably for his sharp, quick material and near-perfect comedic timing. He has appeared on "Conan" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," among others. Rounding out the trio will be Pete Lee, who was the first stand-up comedian to earn a standing ovation on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." He has also appeared on Comedy Central, NBC’s "Last Comic Standing," and "The Late Show with David Letterman."
