February 7 | 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.Council Bluffs Public Library
UNfortunately, this event has already occurred.
Long before Martha Stewart, there was Betty Crocker. To date, her Picture Cook Book has sold more than 75 million copies. She’s a household name, but who was Betty Crocker? Celebrate the 100th anniversary of America’s favorite cook with a look back at her history, from her debut in 1921, through her current reign over one of America’s most popular food websites. This fun illustrated lecture by historian Leslie, Goddard, Ph.D., looks at how Betty Crocker was invented, why her cookbook has endured, and what makes her so iconic. Join us if you feel like cooking up some nostalgia!
