Join artist Holly Lukasiewicz for this class to create your own miniature world. Students will cut apart boxes and other found materials to paint, glue, and tape a diorama scene from their imagination. What is a Diorama? Dioramas are three-dimensional works and can be used in art display, education, marketing, and many other practical applications. If you have ever enjoyed a pop-up book or viewed a play, then you have experienced a diorama. Holly will walk you through the methods and history of the art and introduce you to our current featured artist, Jave Yoshimoto.

About the Instructor: Holly Lukasiewicz earned a Master of Education in English as a Learned Language and Special Education, and a Bachelor in Art Education. Having taught in various places in the United States and Europe, she believes strongly in the value that creative outlets provide communities. Her own creative practice has allowed her to build community through projects in Iowa, Nebraska, and Illinois.
