Join us for the exhibit opening of artist Jave Yoshimoto in the Anne and John P. Nelson Gallery. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with remarks from Yoshimoto at 7:00 p.m. Yoshimoto's painting and laser engraved and carved sculptures display elements of satire, politics, and themes of tragedy and hope. Capacity is limited and masks required. We will be doing a Facebook live of the opening remarks and gallery walkthrough. Yoshimoto's Exhibit will be on display through April 10th, 2021.
About the Artist: Jave Yoshimoto is an artist and educator from a multicultural background. He was born in Japan to Chinese parents and immigrated to the United States at a young age. He has since traveled and lived in various parts of the country which has influenced his artistic practice. He believes in creating artworks that are socially conscious and true to his authentic self.
