PACE Speaker Series | Artist Perspective w/ Lee Running
December 3 | 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.The Hoff Family Art & Culture Center
UNfortunately, this event has already occurred.
Join PACE and artist Lee Emma Running for a seminar on our latest feature exhibit, VERGE. In this exhibition, visitors soon realize they are standing in a 1:1 scale replica of an American highway. This unfolding experience, between allure and violence, engages visitors with art in a way many haven’t experienced before. Lee Emma Running makes sculptures and drawings using roadkill animal bones, glass, paper, fabric, fur, raw pigments, and gold. Her training as a traditional papermaker allows her to manipulate materials and processes as well as maintain the discipline of a fine craft. Her sculptures, installation, and performance work are deeply connected to place. Come listen to the artist herself talk about the art phenomenon that is, VERGE. This is a free event.
