Wear your costumes and bring the entire family out and celebrate all there is to love about autumn in Iowa at Hitchcock Nature Center on October 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

We have activities planned for participants of all ages including guided hikes, games, scavenger hunts, refreshments. Join us at the Loess Hills Lodge to start the fun then hop on our hay rack ride and go trick or treating in the campground.

To ensure proper staffing and supplies we are requesting that participants register in advance for this event. For more information and to register online please visit or call 712-545-3283.

All attendees will need either a valid annual park permit or will need to purchase a $2.00 per vehicle daily entrance pass. Annual permits may be purchased for $10.00 from staff at any of our parks or at the Loess Hills Lodge at Hitchcock Nature Center during regular business hours. Daily entrance passes may be purchased with cash or check at the front gate the day of the event. There is no fee for this program thanks to the generous support of the Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation. Free will donations will be accepted to support continued programming opportunities in Pottawattamie County.

While this event is family friendly it is not pet friendly, please leave your canine friends at home. Service animals are always welcome.
