Get ready, Council Bluffs, one of the area’s most iconic performing arts venues is turning 25, and you’re invited to the party! The Arts Center at Iowa Western is celebrating a quarter-century of creativity, community, and unforgettable performances with an all-day outdoor event that’s free, fun, and full of energy.
On August 23rd, The Arts Center will transform into a lively hub of music, movement, and local pride. From the moment the first guitar chord strikes at 3:30 PM, the celebration will roll on through the evening with back-to-back performances from some of the region’s most popular acts.
- 3:30 PM – Finding Dixie: Southern rock with a twist, start the afternoon off strong with these local legends.
- 5:00 PM – High Heel: High-energy hits and powerhouse vocals that’ll have you on your feet.
- 6:45 PM – Jimmy Weber: A soulful blend of country and heartland rock from a true musical storyteller.
- 8:00 PM – Billy McGuigan Band: Expect a show-stopping finale as this crowd-favorite group brings down the house with classic rock hits and infectious stage presence.
But that’s not all, this event is about more than just great music. It’s a full-on community celebration. Enjoy live appearances by Iowa Western’s Choir, Cheerleaders, Dance Team, and everyone's favorite mascot, Rocky the Reiver. Grab something delicious from the Iowa Western Culinary Food Truck, and don’t forget your lawn chairs, this is an outdoor event built for laid-back vibes and good times. And the best part? It’s all free! While admission won’t cost a thing, free-will donations are welcome and will go directly toward supporting future programming at The Arts Center.
