During the 2022 Iowa Tourism Conference held in Des Moines, the Iowa Tourism Office presented awards recognizing the work and innovation of Iowa’s outstanding tourism organizations. These awards represent the highest honor given for tourism in Iowa.
We are thrilled to announce that the Council Bluffs Convention & Visitors Bureau won two major awards.
Outstanding Website (Metro): UNleashCB.com
Outstanding Social Media Execution (Metro): UNleash Council Bluffs
This was the third time UNleashCB.com has won the outstanding website award. It is our second win for social media execution. Overall, the CBCVB has received eight Iowa Tourism Awards since 2013.
In 2021, the CBCVB saw an all-time high in web traffic to UNleashCB.com, surpassing all goals set by the Bureau. Interesting blogs, event posting on our community-wide calendar, and our pandemic recovery marketing initiatives kept the content on the site fresh and inviting. A big thank you to the Neapolitan Labs team for helping us build a website that serves both visitors and residents seamlessly and beautifully!
2021 was also a great year on social media for the CBCVB. Our goal was to create meaningful, inspiring, and entertaining content for visitors and residents to help bring business back to our hotels, restaurants, attractions, retail shops, and venues after several years of a devastating pandemic. Thank you to all our followers who engaged with our content and supported our local businesses!
The Bureau placed second in the Outstanding Promotional Material category for the latest Council Bluffs & Pottawattamie County Inspirational Guide. Council Bluffs came in second place in the Outstanding Community (Metro) category due to the pandemic recovery efforts of the city.
2021 was an exceptional year and the Council Bluffs Convention & Visitors Bureau is working hard to make 2022 even better!
