Join us as we kick off our 2024 season of "A Land Ethic Workshop." This free, introductory program will be held at Hitchcock Nature Center and is perfect for anyone with an interest in conservation and a desire to develop a better understanding of the natural world outside their own front door. Join us and celebrated educator Ron Cisar as we introduce participants to our 10-month-long programming series, "A Land Ethic Workshop". Participants in this introductory session will study and learn: - How one oak affects the biological community & reveals secrets of the past - The ecological significance of Iowa's Loess Hills landform. - The biographical history of Iowa's own Aldo Leopold & his "Land Ethic" This program is free for all attendees and is intended for participants aged 14 and older with an interest in the natural world. No experience or prior knowledge is required to participate. Online pre-registration is required as space is limited.
