UNfortunately, this event has already occurred.
Every spring, Botna Bend park rangers Jon Fenner and Cory Thomas and their staff tap the silver maple trees that call the park home and collect their sweet sap to make homemade maple syrup. You can taste the delicious fruits of their labor by joining us for our annual Pancake Feed on Saturday, September 9th! - Grilled pancakes and sausage will be served with our homemade maple syrup along with coffee & orange juice from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., so don't be late! - Breakfast is free, but free-will donations are gratefully accepted at your pickup and will be used to fund Botna Bend Park projects and improvements. - A $3 per vehicle entry fee or Pottawattamie Conservation membership is required to enter the park. - If you're looking to stock up on syrup, you're in luck! Homemade maple syrup will also be for sale as supplies last. Half pints are $5 and full pints are $10. For questions not answered online, please call Botna Bend Park at 712-741-5465. This event will be held rain or shine.
