“The Hoovers and Mining” explores the role Herbert and Lou Henry Hoover played in the mining industry, including their translation of a book in Latin cataloguing the state of the art of mining, refining, and smelting metals, published in 1556. About the Speaker: Elizabeth Dinchel is the director of the National Mining Hall of Fame in Colorado. She was previously the education archivist at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum and has vast knowledge on both subjects. This virtual program is free and open to the public.
