Guided Tour: Squirrel Cage Jail

If you have heard of the famous Squirrel Cage Jail but never visited, this is your opportunity to learn about the building’s unique history, architecture, and daily operations during its time as the Pottawattamie County Jail.
Please note that registration is required for this tour. Additionally, be aware that the historic building includes several flights of narrow stairs and tight spaces. The building does not have an elevator, and walking will be required.
Plan to meet at 5 PM at the Jail to begin the tour on time.
