Hitchcock Folk School | Tincture Medicine Making
January 9 | 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.Hitchcock Nature Center
Plants have been used to treat illness for many thousands of years, and for hundreds of years, people have been preserving pants through the process of tincturing. During this two-hour program, join naturalist Dustin Clayton for a demonstration of the process of creating your own herbal tinctures. Learn some of the ways plants have historically been used and preserved. Learn the different methods and supplies necessary and aid in the creation of an herbal tincture. Because this program involves using alcohol to extract the active ingredients in plants, this class is limited to participants aged 21 and up
