The series begins with a simple leadership truth: before you can lead people, you have to understand people. The strongest leaders are not necessarily the smartest person in the room. They are often the person who understands what matters to the people in the room. Participants will examine the difference between listening to respond and listening to understand, explore how genuine appreciation strengthens relationships, and consider how seeing a situation from another person's perspective can change the way they lead. We will also explore what motivates different people and how a leader's own ego can sometimes become an obstacle to effective leadership.
