Lead People, Bold Trust, Create Results: Week Three: Get Results Through People
February 15 | 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.Looft Hall at Iowa Western
Feb 15 2027 1PM-4PM Looft Hall Room 023
Leadership is not about doing more yourself. It is about creating an environment where other people can succeed.
Participants will explore how effective leaders communicate expectations, recognize contribution, create accountability, delegate effectively, and develop people without creating dependence. We will examine what actually motivates people, why employees sometimes resist being “managed,” how asking can be more powerful than telling, and how to give feedback without immediately creating defensiveness. We will also address one of the most important responsibilities of leadership: having the conversation you have been avoiding.
