2023 Walk to End Alzheimer's - Fighting for a Different Future

The Alzheimer's Association Iowa Chapter is excited to have its biggest Walk event expected for Saturday, September 23rd, at its new location - Iowa Western Community College Dodge Hall.

Registration can be done ahead of time at act.alz.org/CBWalk or on the day of starting at 9 am. We plan to have at least fifty teams, a donut truck, live music, face painting, multiple dance performances, and Emcee Zach Williamson, CB Native, and KMTV Channel 3 morning anchor, facilitating the event amongst more fun events for families supporting the cause.

Participants in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in Council Bluffs, Iowa

All funds benefiting the Council Bluffs Walk to End Alzheimer's go towards dementia care support, research, awareness, and advocacy to be in a world without dementia. Jessica Duncan, Walk Manager with the Alzheimer's Association Iowa Chapter, looks forward to all families impacted by this disease - like her own - coming together for a positive event in this new Era of Treatment for the Alzheimer's Association.

Everyone that registers will receive a colorful pinwheel to have in honor of who walkers participate for, with each color having meaning. Purple for those that have passed, Blue for those with Dementia, Yellow for Caregivers, Orange for those supporting the mission, and the One White flower per Walk that signifies the day we have the first survivor. Join us on 9/23/23 and reach out to Jessica for opportunities to support this event with tables, sponsorships, volunteering, or education/support group information at jsduncan@alz.org.
