Crescent Hill at Hitchcock Unveils Improvements Ahead of Season Pass Sale
Winter is on the horizon, and Crescent Hill at Hitchcock is gearing up for another exciting season of skiing, snowboarding, and sledding. With new upgrades in place and fresh equipment ready to go Crescent Hill is preparing for its 2025–2026 season. Even better—season passes go on sale September 1, click the button to get a pass today.

What’s New This Season
Visitors can look forward to a smoother ride thanks to lift upgrades, including a new motor for the double lift that improves loading and enhances performance during especially cold Midwest winters. Crescent Hill has also added new rental gear to its lineup:
-
15 brand-new snowboards and 30 snowboard boots
-
40 helmets
-
100+ gently used ski and boot pairs
“Our team continues to chip away at projects that enhance Crescent Hill for everyone,” said Site Manager Chris Andrew. “The best way to save is by purchasing your season pass early before rates increase.”
To align with other ski destinations and streamline operations, Crescent Hill will be cashless this season. Guests with cash can use an on-site kiosk to load funds onto VISA gift cards, which can then be used anywhere VISA is accepted.
Season Pass Perks
Passes go on sale September 1, with Pottawattamie County residents receiving a 25% discount. Season passes come with plenty of extras, including unlimited lift access all season, free sledding and Midnight Madness entry, buddy lift and sledding tickets and discounts at eight partner resorts in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Pricing increases monthly through December, so early purchase is encouraged.
What's Next
In May 2025, Crescent Hill unveiled a draft four-season master plan packed with exciting possibilities—snow tubing, a new beginner area, a base lodge and chalet, paved parking, a campground, and even a zipline. These plans highlight Crescent Hill’s goal of becoming a year-round destination for adventure and family fun. You can explore the full vision at the button below.
Building a Legacy in the Loess Hills
Crescent Hill is part of a long-term vision to expand Hitchcock Nature Center. Pottawattamie County purchased the property in 2021 with generous support from the Iowa West Foundation, and since then, Pottawattamie Conservation has focused on restoring habitat, offering environmental education, and enhancing visitor experiences.
Following a successful rebrand last season, Crescent Hill at Hitchcock is ready to make this winter unforgettable. Season passes go on sale September 1—lock in your savings early and get ready to hit the slopes!
