Summer is coming to an end which means kids will be returning to school soon. Take advantage of Iowa's tax-free weekend and get all of the gear needed to outfit your kids for the school year, or even grab something for yourself (you deserve it!).
The sales tax holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on the first Friday in August (August 5) and ends at 12:00 a.m. midnight on the following day (August 6). No sales tax or local option sales tax will be collected on sales of clothing or footwear having a selling price less than $100. For more information about what items are tax-exempt or not, visit the Iowa Department of Revenue's website.
