River City Rage Brings Indoor Football Back to CB

Are you ready for some football?! Council Bluffs will soon be the home of River City Rage, a professional indoor football team that will kick off its American Indoor Football (AIF) season in 2024.

After a brief hiatus, the AIF has announced two Iowa teams that will participate in the relaunched 2024 season. In addition to River City Rage, the Cedar Rapids River Kings will compete in this highly-anticipated season.

“Football has always been a passion of mine, and I chose Cedar Rapids and Council Bluffs because these cities possess a rich football tradition and a fan base that is hungry for exciting indoor football action. I am committed to building competitive teams and creating a thrilling game-day experience for our fans,” said owner Dominic Montero.

From 2004 until 2012, the Council Bluffs Express (also known as the Iowa Blackhawks) of the American Professional Football League played at the Mid-America Center. Council Bluffs locals are ecstatic to have high-level football back in the area!
