Chrome, carbs, and vintage cool are taking over Council Bluffs June 19–21, 2025, for Meetin-in-the-Middle—a three-day motorcycle event that’s all throttle, no filler. Hosted by the Kansas City Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club (KCVJMC), this gathering is all about celebrating Japanese bikes that are 20 years or older. That’s right—if your ride screams 2005 or earlier, this is your jam.
Thursday, June 19: Bikes on the 100 Block
The action kicks off Thursday night at Bikes on the 100 Block in downtown Council Bluffs. From 5–9 p.m., motorcycles of all types take over the Historic 100 Block of Broadway. VJMC bikes get prime parking, but roll in by 4 p.m. if you want a front-row spot. Grab some grub, catch live music, and soak in the summer vibes with fellow riders and fans.
Friday, June 20: Backroads & Historic 100 Block
On Friday, it’s time to hit the backroads. Riders meet at 3:00 p.m. at Edwards Motorsports (1010 34th Ave.), the event HQ, to explore Iowa’s best scenic twists and turns. After the ride, cruise into downtown Council Bluffs for a meet-and-greet dinner at Barley’s Bar Taproom (114 W Broadway). With a reserved room ready at 6:00 p.m. and dinner at 7:00, it’s the perfect spot to refuel and swap stories.
Not ready to call it a night? The Historic 100 Block has more than just one good option. Sip on a throwback cocktail at The BLK Squirrel, a bar themed after Council Bluffs’ own black squirrel population, or head to The B-Side Bar, a gritty, musician-owned venue with two stages and a love for live, local sound. Whether you’re in the mood for cold drinks or killer riffs, the 100 Block delivers the vibe.
Saturday, June 21: The Main Event
Saturday is the big show. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Edwards Motorsports will be packed with bikes that have aged like fine bourbon. Load-in starts at 8 a.m. and 15 award categories are up for grabs—plus giveaways, deals, food, and some serious motorcycle eye candy.
Still want more? After the show, take a ride down to Glenwood to check out Rick Chase’s private Kamikaze Museum (4–5 p.m.). Cap the night off with dinner at Toby Jack’s Steakhouse in Mineola at 6:00 p.m.
Whether you ride a two-stroke screamer or a vintage cruiser, Meetin-in-the-Middle is your chance to fuel up with fellow enthusiasts, swap stories, and geek out over some of the coolest bikes around.
Rides by Day, Rest in Style—Stay the Weekend
From backroad cruising to chrome-filled showcases, there’s no shortage of vintage vibes to soak in—but don’t let the fun stop when the engines cool. Make the most of the weekend with a stay at a nearby hotel. It’s the perfect way to rest up, connect with fellow riders, and keep the good times rolling in Council Bluffs.
