Are your kiddo’s fan of fishing?! If so, this is the event for them! Council Bluffs Parks and Recreation will be hosting their annual Youth Fishing Derby on Tuesday, August 15, 2020, at Big Lake Park.

Space is limited this year to ensure adequate social distancing, but there are still several spots available for each age group! The age divisions and times are:

 Ages 7-9 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Ages 10-12 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 Ages 13-15 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

If interested, you can download this form to register before August 13, 2020. Registration forms can be mailed in or dropped off in person at the Council Bluffs Parks and Recreation office at 209 Pearl Street Suite 103 in CB. The $5 entry fee is due with the registration form.

The top three fish in each age division will be awarded prizes. This is a great opportunity to get in some summer fun while practicing social distancing! For more information or frequently asked questions, visit the Parks and Rec’s website.
