Bad Art Club: the Heart (tech pen)
February 10 | 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center
Explore the beauty of anatomy and the art of detailed line work in this engaging drawing project. We begin by sketching an anatomically correct heart using simple shapes and gentle guidelines to understand its form. Once the structure is in place, the focus shifts to bringing it to life with a tech pen.
Participants will learn how to use a tech pen to add depth, texture, and dimension through techniques such as crosshatching, stippling, and controlled line variation. Each mark helps build the illusion of volume and movement, turning a basic sketch into a striking illustration.
This class is both educational and creative, giving you a chance to study real anatomy while experimenting with classic ink drawing methods. By the end, you will have a bold, expressive heart that looks ready to beat right off the page.
