Council Bluffs Reads Author Visit: David Heska Wanbli Weiden

David Heska Wanbli Weiden, an enrolled citizen of the Sicangu Lakota nation, is an award-winning author best known for his debut novel, Winter Counts, which was a national bestseller and praised by publications including the New York Times Book Review, Los Angeles Times, and Library Journal.
Weiden is the first Native American author to win both an Anthony Award and a Thriller Award, and his work has appeared in numerous anthologies and publications. His newest novel, Wisdom Corner (July 2026), is a thriller exploring life and death on the Rosebud Indian Reservation.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is requested to ensure adequate seating. Doors open at 6 PM
