Iowa Western is teaming up with the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The Reivers Women's Basketball squad welcomes Southeast Community College to Reiver Arena on Monday night. To celebrate, the Reivers are providing free admission to girls of all ages for the 6:00 PM game.
In addition, Iowa Western Television will be on hand to talk to any girl that wants to share why sports are important to her. The recordings will be edited for use in a montage that will be delivered to social media to mark National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Wednesday, February 5th. All girls in attendance will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance at a $100 Itunes gift card that will be given away at halftime of the game between the Reivers and the Storm. The Girl Scouts will begin selling their cookies later in the week.
