Visit the Nelson Gallery to hear from the painter himself. Barber will talk about his life and work. Barber is a local artist and community leader who works in paint and collage assembly. Barber believes in personhood and the oneness of humanity. When you visit on September 17th remember that Barber's portraits request a dialogue, both with you, and the pieces around it. His work calls for conversation, questions, and sometimes answers. Barber has the outlook of a teacher who works to educate through his work.
