History and Facts of Squirrel Cage Jail

Join us for an evening dedicated to the history of one of Pottawattamie County's most notorious landmarks: Squirrel Cage Jail.
Dr. Richard Warner of the Historical Society of Pottawattamie County will share in-depth information about the jail’s origins and provide a detailed look at what life was like for those within its walls. Attendees will learn fascinating facts about the location, the unique architecture of the building, and some of its most infamous visitors.
