Overview
Lake Manawa State Park is one of western Iowa's premier outdoor recreation destinations, featuring 1,529 acres of parkland and a 700-acre lake. Visitors can enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking, biking, picnicking, and beachside relaxation year-round. The beach area offers kayak, canoe, and paddleboard rentals, while shelters, trails, and open spaces make the park a popular destination for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and group gatherings.
There is a nonresident vehicle permit for $5 per day or $40 per year. The daily fee is not required for nonresidents who go to the beach and pay the beach admission at Lake Manawa. Admission to the beach area is $4 per person (children under 2 years old are free). Visit their Facebook page, linked above, for more details.
