Supporting Pollinators this Fall

Pottawattamie Conservation also reminds residents to “leave the leaves” this season. Avoid pruning gardens and let leaves remain as overwintering habitat for pollinators like butterflies and bees, which are essential for food production and ecosystem health. Even leaving a small section of your yard undisturbed can make a difference.

This October, celebrate the season at Pottawattamie County’s beautiful parks with family-friendly events, outdoor fun, and opportunities to connect with nature.
