Raise a Glass for Council Bluffs Classrooms
Looking for a fun way to give back while enjoying a great night out? Cheers for CB Schools is bringing together the best of the community—local businesses, alumni, and supporters of public education—for an evening filled with live music, delicious food, and craft brews, all in support of Council Bluffs students and teachers. Join us on May 8 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Full Fledged Brewing Co. for an evening of community, celebration, and support.
What to Expect
This community celebration, presented by the Council Bluffs Schools Foundation in partnership with alumni and friends, promises a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Guests can enjoy live music by Touch of Grey, food from a variety of local businesses, craft brews from one of Council Bluffs’ favorite gathering spots and a chance to connect with others who care about local education!
More than just a great night out, Cheers for CB Schools directly supports the Council Bluffs Community School District. Proceeds from the event fund the Foundation’s Annual Grants Program, which provides teachers with resources to enhance learning—both inside and outside the classroom. From innovative classroom tools to enriching student experiences, your participation helps make a real impact where it matters most.
How Your Support Makes an Impact
The Council Bluffs Schools Foundation’s Annual Grants Program plays a vital role in supporting both students and educators across the district. Through a variety of funding opportunities, the Foundation helps bring ideas to life and meet real, everyday needs in classrooms. Classroom Grants fund creative projects that enhance educational experiences and expand learning beyond traditional methods. Student Enrichment Grants provide opportunities for field trips, cultural experiences, fine arts, and co-curricular activities that broaden students’ horizons. Mini-Grants offer quick, flexible funding for immediate classroom needs, teacher well-being, and innovative ideas.
Beyond the classroom, additional programs make a meaningful difference:
- Emergency Assistance Grants ensure students have essential items like winter coats, shoes, and glasses so they can arrive at school ready to learn.
- The upcoming Teacher Closet (opening August 2026) will give educators free access to high-demand supplies like headphones, whiteboards, sensory tools, and classroom organizers—helping create more engaging and inclusive learning environments.
These programs are powered by community support—and events like Cheers for CB Schools make it all possible.
