Featured Events for Kids and Teens
June & July
Readers of all ages can join the genre club and beginning readers book club to explore new stories and share ideas, while creative minds can dive into the maker club for interactive, imagination-driven projects.
Don't miss fun summer programs like video game tournaments, craft club, summer snack series and book feast. Then on the 27th, join in on crafting, gaming, and all things Minecraft!
More events put on the Council Bluffs Library held at Bayliss Park this June include parachute playtime on June 22, and a special visit from Mikayla Oz the Magician on June 24.
Then, in July fly through loops, ramps, and other track hazards, all while racing other players with Hot Wheels.
Recurring Events for Kids and Teens
The library offers many recurring events for young learners and their caregivers to connect. Parents can sip coffee at playdate café while kids play, or share stories during weekly storytimes and love on a leash. Don't miss yoga storytime that combines playful poses with interactive tales. Homeschool huddle provides hands-on activities, while the 3D printing workshops introduce kids to new technology! Little ones will love creative movement and music with Lori Lynn that combines music, dance, and storytime! To top it all off, the Pokémon Club brings young trainers together to trade cards, battle, and bond over their favorite characters!

Food and gardening enthusiasts can dive into The 100-Day Gardening Plan: Growing for a Great Fall Harvest on June 29.
July
July features a fun mix of creativity, history, and interactive experiences. Highlights include Coaster Creation, 3D Building America, Raising Chickens, Legacies of the American Revolution, and America 100: The 1876 Centennial Exhibition. Guests can also enjoy Giant Board Games and Disco Fever and Retail Revolution: How the 1970s Reshaped the Bluffs for a nostalgic look at the 1970s.
Recurring Events for Adults
The Council Bluffs Public Library hosts a wide range of recurring programs for adults. Tech help is available aswell as microsoft basics, while creative outlets include the 746 needlework club, pinterest'd in, machine embroidery class, intro to heat transfer, how to sew, gardening with native plants, and the basic soldiering series. Book lovers can dive into the mystery book club, worlds away book club, or connect with local writers in the writer’s discussion group.
For social connections, check out the adult board game night, bingocize, or the coloring club. The lunch & learn, startup series, welcome to medicare, and lunch bunch book club brings engaging topics to the table, and adventurers can join the D & D league! With so many opportunities, there’s always something happening for adults to learn, create, and connect.
