This June, step into a hauntingly beautiful world where memory, music, and Shakespeare collide at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center.
The Family Opera Series returns June 5 – 7 with UnShakeable, a powerful one-act opera that blends mystery, emotion, and audience interaction into an unforgettable theatrical experience perfect for families, students, and first-time opera-goers.
A Story About Memory, Survival, and Connection
Set years after a mysterious epidemic has left survivors struggling with memory loss, UnShakeable follows two actors, Wyatt and Meridian, as they reunite in a desolate theater searching for fragments of their forgotten past. Using Shakespeare as their shared language, they work to reconnect with lost memories, emotions, and each other with help from the audience along the way.
Featuring music by Joseph Illick and a libretto by Andrea Fellows Fineberg, this moving production combines opera, theater, and interactive storytelling into a unique performance experience. UnShakeable is especially engaging for middle school and high school students curious about live performance, music, and the arts.
