New Visions Homeless Services, founded in 1995, works to eliminate hunger and homelessness in Council Bluffs and surrounding areas. The organization offers emergency shelter, supportive housing, food security, and other vital services to individuals and families facing homelessness, including U.S. veterans. Thanks to the support and collaboration with NP Dodge Real Estate, New Visions is hosting its Annual Shoe Drive from March 1 to March 31. This community effort provides a way for people to donate shoes that will either be given to local shelters, sent to underdeveloped countries, or recycled, helping both people in need and the environment.
What’s the Shoe Drive All About?
The goal is simple: collect gently used or even worn-out shoes from anyone and everyone in the community. Whether it’s from your own closet, your family, friends, neighbors, or colleagues, we’re asking you to donate shoes to help those who are less fortunate. Shoes don’t have to be in perfect condition—what matters is that we keep them out of landfills and give them a second life.
How to Participate
Donating is easy! Simply drop off your shoes at NP Dodge Real Estate at 1032 Woodbury Avenue, Council Bluffs. Whether you’ve got a pair of boots you never wear or shoes that have seen better days, they’ll be put to good use. You can even get creative and involve others—encourage friends, family, clients, and agents from other firms to join in and make a bigger impact.
