The City of Council Bluffs has announced the return of Hydrant Parties—an annual tradition that brings summer fun to neighborhoods across the city. Hosted by the Council Bluffs Fire Department, these events take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at various locations throughout the summer.
Hydrant Parties are all about old-fashioned fun. For one hour, kids (and kids at heart) can run through the spray of an open hydrant, enjoy frozen treats, and connect with neighbors. The events are free and open to the public, and no registration is required.
The City of Council Bluffs gives special thanks to the Council Bluffs Fire Department for their commitment to creating safe, memorable experiences for local families!
These events wouldn’t be possible without strong community partnerships. A special thanks to Council Bluffs Council Bluffs Community School District, Council Bluffs Water Works, Pottawattamie County Public Health, Centris Federal Credit Union, and Texas Roadhouse for helping to make these events extra fun!
