After several years of in-person meetings and conferences being canceled, the industry is coming together to celebrate Global Meetings Industry Day on March 30, 2023, to showcase why #MeetingsMatter to our community, businesses, organizations, attendees, and our local economy. Did you know that nearly $100 billion was spent in meetings and events-related travel in 2022? *

Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) is a designated day of advocacy showcasing the undeniable value that meetings, tradeshows, exhibitions, conferences, and conventions bring to communities, businesses, and people. There is no doubt that these types of events benefit Council Bluffs as a whole. Business-related events bring travelers into our area to spend money at our hotels, restaurants, attractions, and gas stations. These travel expenditures go right back into the city through tax collections and benefit our residents, businesses, city, and tourism partners.

Council Bluffs has hosted a plethora of noteworthy meetings in the last several years. We love assisting these groups in their meeting planning to ensure they have an unforgettable experience in CB.
