Join us & celebrated educator Ron Cisar for July's Butterfly Basics session of "A Land Ethic Workshop." This program will be held at Hitchcock Nature Center and is perfect for anyone with an interest in conservation and a desire to develop a better understanding of the natural world outside their own front door.
Enjoy a full morning of instruction & learning, including:
- An introduction to common butterflies of the Midwest
- A look at prescribed burns as a land stewardship tool
- How to use a dichotomous key
- A reading & discussion of Aldo Leopold's essay "Prairie Birthday"
