We are getting into the Christmas Holiday spirit early this season! Join Kanesville Symphony Orchestra as they will be collaborating with the Creighton University Orchestra, and the St. James United Methodist Church Chancel Choir. The first piece performed is Around The World At Christmas Time Arranged by Bruce Chase. This opening piece features songs like O Tannenbaum, Infant Holy Infant Lowly, What Child Is This?, O Sanctissima, The Hanukkah Song, Whence Comes This Rush of Wings?, and Go Tell It On The Mountain. The second piece is Christmas At The Movies Arranged by Bob Krogstad. This movie music extravaganza features Miracle On 34th Street, The Polar Express, Somewhere in My Memory, Making Christmas, and Where Are You Christmas. The final piece we are performing is the Christmas Cantata Let There Be Christmas by Joseph M. Martin with Orchestration by Brant Adams featuring the St. James United Methodist Choir as the finale.

Training consists of a combination of formal classroom and practical, hands-on training driving a forklift. The class is designed to meet the training requirements for OSHA. Demonstrations will be performed on an obstacle course by the instructor and practical exercises performed by the student.

Acclaimed Celtic fingerstyle guitarist Jerry Barlow is a virtuoso musician, a warm and accessible performer, and a world-class storyteller. Avoca, Iowa 9th Annual Holidays on Main. Celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with a "Holiday Hoedown" with entertainment for all ages. The afternoon starts with a Vendor/Craft fair from 1-6. Next is the 3K Ugly Christmas Sweater Race. Sign-up begins at 2:00/ race time at 2:30. Prizes for best dressed & medals for 8 different age brackets. Continue the afternoon with Santa Claus arriving in a convertible, Stick Reindeer races for kids 4-10, Ride"em Bouncy Ball Horses, & serving s'mores at the courthouse. The Council Bluffs Kennel Club puts on the show every year for American Kennel Club (AKC) registered dogs. The dogs entered in the competition—of a large variety of breeds—are judged based on AKC standards for their breed such as head shape and gait.
