Every spring Botna Bend park rangers Jon Fenner and Cory Thomas and their staff tap the silver maple trees that call the park home and collect their sweet sap to make homemade maple syrup. You can taste the delicious fruits of their labor by joining us for our annual Pancake Feed on Saturday, September 3rd! Grilled pancakes and sausage will be served with our homemade maple syrup along with coffee & orange juice from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m., so don't be late! Breakfast is free but free-will donations are gratefully accepted at your pickup and will be used to fund Botna Bend Park projects and improvements. Pre-registration is not required for this event. Participants must purchase a $3.00 per vehicle daily pass with exact change or check at the front gate paybox, or have a valid Pottawattamie Conservation membership to enter the park.
