August 24 | 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.Hitchcock Nature Center
UNfortunately, this event has already occurred.
Are you fascinated by the power and mystery of birds of prey? Want to play a role in vital raptor research? Join us!
Every year, from September through December, a biologist and people passionate about raptors gather at Hitchcock Nature Center to identify and count thousands of eagles, hawks, and other raptors as they migrate south. This effort collects important data for a global network of research, Hawkwatch International.
HawkWatch International (HWI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving the environment through the study and protection of raptors. They operate the largest standardized network of raptor migration sites in the world and conduct research on at-risk species.
Join us to kick off the 34th year of HawkWatch at Hitchcock and learn more, meet our seasonal biologist, and get to know other people passionate about protecting raptors.
There is no cost for this event.
Please register so we can plan accordingly.
