Overview
This 1880 farmstead is a living history exhibit of how farming practices have moved from hand labor to horse machinery to tractors. The exhibit gives visitors a look at the tools that formed our rural heritage. The farmstead's motto is "preserving and celebrating Iowa's farm history." Carstens Farm offers unique seasonal activities and demonstrations that make the rural spirit come alive. The farm is on the National Register of Historic Places. Tours are available by appointment.
