August Beresheim House

Overview

Built in 1899 for banker and Iowa state legislator August Beresheim, the August Beresheim House offers visitors a glimpse into Council Bluffs' rich history and architectural heritage. As part of the Dodge Museum Complex, the historic home features exhibits that highlight the Beresheim family, local history, and a collection of decorative glass and artifacts.

Together with the nearby Historic General Dodge House, the museum helps tell the story of the people, businesses, and civic leaders who shaped Council Bluffs during a period of significant growth and development.
