Overview

Perched in the globally significant Loess Hills, the Lewis & Clark Monument Scenic Overlook offers some of the most spectacular views in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro. Dedicated in 1936, the site commemorates the 1804 Lewis and Clark Expedition and its historic meeting with the Otoe and Missouri tribes. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Missouri River valley, Council Bluffs, and the Omaha skyline, along with access to a popular mountain bike trail, seasonal restrooms, picnic areas, and unforgettable sunsets.
