Overview

The Iowa West Sports Plex is a 75,000-square-foot indoor turf facility designed to support leagues, tournaments, camps, training programs, and year-round athletic development. Operated by the Council Bluffs Soccer Club, the facility provides flexible space for athletes of all ages and accommodates a wide variety of sports, including soccer, baseball, softball, flag football, rugby, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee, and more.

The artificial turf surface is the size of a regulation youth 11v11 soccer field and can be configured into multiple field layouts to support practices, games, tournaments, and training sessions. Available rental options include full-field configurations with U14 and U12 field markings, 1/3-field layouts with U10 perimeter markings, and 1/6-field training areas. This flexibility allows the facility to host multiple activities and age groups simultaneously.

In addition to the turf field, the Sports Plex features a dedicated speed-and-agility training space, a full-service athletic training room, full-length batting cages that descend from the ceiling for baseball and softball, and four permanent upstairs soft-toss cages. Groups may rent individual batting cages or the entire training area based on their needs.

The Iowa West Sports Plex regularly hosts leagues, tournaments, camps, and instructional programming throughout the year, including soccer camps associated with Creighton University programs. Its versatile design and training amenities make it an important part of Council Bluffs' growing sports tourism and athlete development landscape.
